More than meets the eye...
Dance is so much more than simple movement. Like all art, it is an outward expression of an inward experience.
We at His Feet Dance have experienced the transformative love of the Father in Jesus Christ. So, "that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ" (1 John 1:3, ESV).
The goal of our shows is not merely entertainment, but rather a collective declaration of our hearts that Jesus is Lord and that "where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom" (2 Corinthians 3:17, ESV). We have experienced that freedom, and we long to share it by our lives and to give it back to the Lamb.
Therefore, our goal is worship. Our goal is that music might become praise, stage might become altar, and movement might become means--the means by which we give ourselves to God.
And we need His grace to do this.
